A message from the President
I am honoured to take on the role of President of the British Heart Valve Society (BHVS) for the next three years. It is a privilege to follow in the footsteps of Dr Madalina Garbi, whose outstanding leadership and dedication have shaped the Society’s growth and influence. Under her guidance, BHVS has strengthened its foundations and expanded its reach, most notably through the development of a truly multidisciplinary BHVS Council, which stands as one of her many important legacies.
As President, I am committed to building on this momentum. Our mission to improve care for all patients with heart valve disease remains at the heart of everything we do. BHVS is uniquely positioned to bring together the full spectrum of professionals involved in valve disease management, promoting collaboration across clinical, scientific, and industry communities.
I look forward to working closely with our talented and enthusiastic Council as we continue to advance education, support clinical excellence, and advocate for the highest standards of patient care. Together, we will strive to ensure that BHVS continues to lead, innovate, and inspire across the multidisciplinary valve community.
