Dr. Thomas modine is appointed as professor of cardiovascular surgery at CHU de Bordeaux and professor at ANZHEN hospital in Beijing, China. He is the co-director of Valve disease structural therapies and chief of Adult cardiac surgery departments.

He has an MD, PhD and MBA. He is a renowned surgeon in TAVR, TMVR, TEER, minimally invasive surgery and valve sparing techniques. He is also leading basic science research programs and is developing percutaneous mitral valve with IPs. He dedicated his training to the development and progress of percutaneous techniques and heart team approach. His research interests are in aortic valve complex, bioengineering, beating heart surgery, hybrid approaches, TAVR, TTVR and TMVR.
