Council Position: BJCA representative

Dr Karrar Albadosh is an imaging cardiology registrar currently based at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff. Prior to joining the UK training programme, he worked as a senior cardiology specialist in the Sultanate of Oman for over five years, following six years of postgraduate training in internal medicine and cardiology at the American University of Beirut, Lebanon.

He holds EACVI accreditation in echocardiography and European certification in heart failure, in addition to Arab Board accreditation in both medicine and cardiology. He has been an international associate of the American College of Cardiology for several years.

Dr Albadosh currently serves as the Deanery Teaching Coordinator for cardiology training in Wales. His clinical and academic interests focus on multimodality imaging in heart valve disease.

As the BJCA representative on the BHVS Council, Karrar is committed to strengthening collaboration between BJCA and BHVS, aiming to enhance training opportunities and improve exposure to heart valve disease for cardiology trainees.
