The aims of this educational day are

  1. To provide a contemporary view of advances across surgical and transcatheter techniques in heart valve disease
  2. To bring multidisciplinary expertise together to improve collective understanding and support disease orientated care
  3. To provide a wider perspective around state of the art management in complex care to achieve best health outcomes for patients

Accepting abstracts and clinical cases submissions

We welcome submissions from trainees in surgical, transcatheter and imaging fields.

Abstracts

Please submit in electronic poster PowerPoint format: relating to original research or local service improvement relating to heart valve disease care pathways and services.

Clinical Cases

Please submit in electronic poster PowerPoint format: case presentation, assessment, images, decision making and benefits vs risks assessment, clinical outcome.

Please ensure patient identifiable information is redacted and where required, patient consent is obtained.

A best abstract/clinical case from each of the three subspecialty fields will be announced and the winners will receive free registration for a BHVS meeting in 2024.
